Farmers || Future

A young neiboring farmer picked up advice from another out of state farmer which has yielded him acquiring farm leases at a viral rate. My brother and I, both young single farmers in our early 30's are now taking over where the previous generation is and trying to grow to support families. Might anyone be willing to share this trick with us? It seems everywhere we go our neighbor has the same prospects sowed up while we struggle. If you prefer not to post feel free to send me a private message. Any and all advice for property/landlord recruitment will be invaluable! Thanks.

I would say luck has a lot to do with it. I am 30, married with two kids and one on the way. I have taken over a part of my families farm. 40 tillable acres. All the land around is rented out and impossible to get. I get along great with all my neighbors but so do the other farmers renting the land. I read that it is not right to raise rent to take land away but i feel thats all I have. I also feel that I could offer $20 an acre more and still be fair rent. I also believe in paying more to have good quality land close to home rather than traveling 20 plus miles.
