Farmers || Future

It seems like this has been the longest growing season yet.   

 

We hope to average 35 bushels on the corn and 20 on the beans.   It just never rained.   I told some one either Im the sinner or my neighbor and god just isnt that accurate.  Not even the stray storms came our way.

 

On the business end of farming we had to switch over to marketing our insurance bushels.  We look a lot smarter after todays price washout but should average $8 on corn and $17.30 on beans be it on 80% of average yields.  I really dont have much use for the insurance program as is but it is the playing field we have been dealt.   Harvesting our meager crops should start later this week.   Dont suspect it will take long.

My friends in MN are having a great year on the other hand.  Beans averaged 60 bushels on the first 170 acres.   Its great to see them be successful.
