Monday 25th – The wind howled last night all night and snow blew everywhere. I left for work short of 7 and it took a little longer to get to work with the road conditions. The weekend went very smooth and today went quickly at work. I visited with dad on my way home and stayed in for the evening.

Tuesday 26th – It is cooling off again in SWI. The wind quit blowing….it is just cold again. I went to the office for the day. Dana got back from his honeymoon and was getting back in the swing of things. Many ethanol plants are still behind on production due to the storms that hammered central IA last week. Overall, I had a productive day. I plan on spending the next couple days with our nutritionist Steve H. Gene delivered Gertie (my wife ended up wanting her cremated) to work….Melis was happy to get the dogs ashes home (what the heck do you do with dog ashes???). I stopped at the farm on the way home to drop of a PTO shaft for the snow blower. I had picked it up on Saturday when I went to John Deere and forgotten it was in the back of my vehicle. Dad gave me my feed bill for 2009……I am going to wait and settle up with him after we sell our calves. He told me he has a pot lined up for next week….thank goodness the calves are getting sold. Melis and I stayed home for the evening.
