Posted on April 29, 2009 at 9:08pm 5 Comments

i am from western oklahoma raising no'till dryland wheat. I am wondering what types of practices other places use as far as putting fertilizer on winter wheat. We have had less than 2 inches of rain since october. Our wheat looks horrible as you can imagine. I topdressed with 125 # of dry 46 0 0. How much fertilizer can… Continue

Yes, we are thankful for the moisture, got 2-3 inches on a lot of sandy dry land that hasn't seen moisture in a year. We will have a busy week.

I added a few pics on the "weather" we had yesterday. We still have the Oklahoma wheat, will try and get most of it cut this week. Got hailed out on several corn and wheat fields here in Ks.

I'll keep that in mind, I'm not sure what I'll do, if anything. I'm not sure I am interested in becoming a retailer. Something to think about though.

Oh ok, I've been running the idea through my head, but I'm not sure if I could get enough guys together to do it, so I could actually get enough volume. I live in Montpelier, which is south of Jamestown, it is probably 250 miles to Minot.

Hello, I was reading that 'buying ground' discussion and in there you mentioned that you buy fertilizer for a few different farmers. I was considering doing the same thing. I was just wondering how you handled it, do you buy it all and then they buy it from you, or do you have a separate entity to handle the fertilizer. I'm just looking for some input.
