Corn and Bean Yields?

Couldn't agree more. I like to look at it like a horse and the saddle. You can put the fanciest saddle on an old beat up horse and still end up with an old beat up horse. Much is the same with corn...

Narrow row corn

Of note, is that Monsanto and Great Plains have teamed up this year to put together some very large replicated trials. We will have more data this year comparing different row systems and populatio...

Narrow row corn

Big fan of adopting cropping practices to narrow rows, be it 20's or twins. Certainly utilizing soil is a big factor, but also don't forget light utilization. The lion share of our grain fill occur...

Corn and Bean Yields?

The thing to remember with any living organism that is being used as a catylast for a bio-tech trait is that there will not always, in every field, be a yield advantage to its non traited counterpa...

Bob Collins, a fellow RSM, saw 7.34 bushel, or 11.20%, yield advantage with RR2Y over the original Roundup® Ready varieties. On Oct. 13, Bob harvested his Super Strip test plot just east of Nevada in central Iowa. Two of the 14 varieties in his pl...

Hey, any progress is good progress at this point, right?! Good to hear wheels are turning up there. I didn't see much action on the way in to the office this morning -- was awfully hazy and we had some pretty heavy frost as well. But, it's shaping up a pretty nice day, so I'm sure a lot of guys are running today to beat that rain that's coming in a couple days!

Hey, stay safe out there on the road!

My folks live in NW KS (grew up out there), and my dad was telling me somebody had told him they had 14 inches in North Platte, NE. I told him there was no way that was possible, that it had to have been a rumor. Looked it up and sure enough! They got over a foot there! Rough deal. I'm not ready for that yet!

Hey, Nick. Welcome to the group here! Glad to have you on board.

How are things looking up in your area? Been able to get much harvested before all this moisture? Have you had much of the white stuff yet? I almost fell over when I opened my garage door to see the snow falling Saturday morning. Not ready for that yet!

Anyway, thanks for looking us up! Hope you enjoy being a member. If you ever have any questions or anything, please feel free to drop me a line!

Stay safe out there!
