Winter weather makes headlines when roads are blocked with snow, but the continuing cold has stunted grass growth. Here in Wales we normally see the first daffodils - our national flower - come out in late February, and a good show for St Davids Day on March 1. This year all we could see were the beginnings of their buds. So the cows will be in on winter rations for an extra month or maybe six weeks. But where's their food coming from?
