"For the price of a 9570, you may as well spend a little more and get a 9870. You would easily replace a 9410 and a 9550 with one good 9870. Put a 12 row corn head and a 36' draper on it and you would travel between 5-7mph. In wheat a 9870 will…"

Tell me what you think I dont care what color your running but tell me how many acres an hour or day you can cover I think…See More

i have nothing against john deere but i am a crop insurance agent and i know john deere lost a bunch of business here in kansas because they have very poor loss adjustment this last year. I write most of my clients through agrilogic crop insurance service's now and they have worked out great for my agency and did a good job of getting my insureds payed with the high loss load in southeast kansas

thank you! like I said, I'm all new to the cropping side of farming. we raised tobacco for years, and my dad and grandad used to raise corn, wheat, beans, oats, barley, and sorghum, but they've been out of that almost my entire life. it is just tough to compete for land without cropping it around here.

I saw an old discussion item about a corn planter that you were talking about being a 6 row with interplant. How many HP did you figure you needed to pull it?

Do you know anything about the GS2 2600? Have you ever heard of it working with another brand of equipment? I was wondering if it is possible that it would work with our agco-white planter and record data. This maybe quite the stretch and of course there is no info online about it. Just curious.

It is a 9660. I don't remember exactly what we did. I think it was the piston for the rotor. It was leaking fluid and wouldn't keep a constant speed. I remember talking to the guy (You?) about combining beans over in Illinois. How do your crops look? Ours look pretty good for the most part even the stuff we have on sand ground looks good this year.

Good to hear from you Matt. I've been to Elder in Muscatine many times. Maybe even seen you there. We bought an 8400 from there a few years ago. A guy from Elder came out last fall to work on our combine that said he farmed across the river. Pretty sure it wasn't you though. Can't remember his name. From your pics it looks like you got a good operation going.
