Pete, thought you might find it interesting, a sale in Turpin OK today. A Krause 24' chisel brought $10,000 dollars! I found that to be entirely ridiculous seeing as my equipment dealer told me my 36' Krause was worth $3,000 dollars. It was raining this morning and this auction had really high attendance, alot of harshly used items bringing riduculous amounts! Another item was a 2003 Great Plains 35' double disc drill that went for $58k. With fertilizer, but needed all new discs. Speculators were saying that a new one of the same model would be around $62k. Also a 1960 Viking Grain Truck with a Shur-lok tarp borught $3100! Then the last of the auction were two Versatile tractors. Gen II 2180 and 2200 with front end loaders. They brought $58k and $72k. Last item was a 4640 JD that brought only $17k. I thought you might find some of those prices intersting anyway. Hope everythings going good for ya! Take care!

I got one for ya Pete. A neighbor of mine retired and he sold his 4760 FWA John Deere at the Ted Everette auction. I had 1900 hrs and some change. It brought $69,500. I thought that was a little high but I haven't looked it up yet.

My dad bought the grain leg at the auction by dysart iowa i think they had a 9400, brent grain cart and a 2390 case

Is there anywhere I can find info comparing chopping cornheads? I've been running a Harvestec brand cornhead for 3years now and am very unsatisfied due to lots of costly repairs. I've heard good and bad things about Deere's new 608c stalkmaster, but I think they've only been out a year. What are your thoughts on a quality chopping head?

there is a large dealer auction at Ted's on the 22nd of this month. It's mostly combines though. Could be interesting to how prices go with this wild harvest.
