Hi, Laura. That's a great idea. However, right now, that function doesn't appear to be part of the system here. But, you can still find other folks by location. Go to the "Members" page and put Montana in the search blank on that page and it should pull up a few members from there. Maybe also search "MT" too, in case folks used the state abbreviation when they built their page instead of the full state name. Give that a try and you should see some other folks from your neck of the woods! Let me know if you have any trouble! Thanks for your question!

Do not worry. .Hired hands can sometimes be more hastle than they are worth.. We try and do everything by ourselves and rather than invest in paying farm labor we invest in equipment that makes our manpower more efficient.. It is almost impossible to find good help.

LOL! Well with that kind of scenery up there..I don't think I could ditch that :) don't get me wrong I like the flats down here but even your pics of where y’all are at..yep I’d stick around for that! Plus, it sounds like you’d be pretty fun to hang out with too!! Lol. Wow that sounds like a pretty good size farm, is that all in MT or do you have some in Washington too? I noticed some of your pics are from different places, just wondered. I haven’t got to cut any barley…so far. Bout the same as wheat I reckon. I think snow would be a new one on me if it came flying while I was cutting, but I think I could put up with it lol. Our milo harvest hit early down here this year, otherwise I was hoping to try to go to MT this year. I’m thinking of going up next year more and more :)

Hey no problem :) yea, I guess it’s fairly cheap.. cheaper than multiple spraying jobs I suppose. Glad to hear harvest is going well, I had some friends cutting in Jordan, Denton and Lewistown. They left about a week ago after they got done...waiting on rain. Wow, that’s crazy...snowing while ya could be cutting lol. Well that’s a good problem to have when their begging for it :) lol. Things are going good here, just got done with a big chunk of milo harvest...for a while anyway, it will likely take a freeze to finish off the rest of the crop.
So do y’all grow barley mainly? Or some wheat too? I’d love to come up that way sometime and cut, that’s some pretty country up there :) how much do y'all farm?

How's the barley doing this year?

Hope the weather is better for you over there than it is over here. A tornado killed a father and son just north of here and devestated a farm. Lots of hail here.

Well thats neat, MT has some pretty cool country up there! Glad you liked the pictures, I tend to get a bit picture happy at times and love the responses people have to our "hill" farming. Another good day of harvest under my belt today, got 48 truck loads in to the elevator and finished yet another field. Goes by fast with two big machines!
