"On the dairy I work for The hoof trimmer comes every 2-3 weeks. We can't get all the cows and young stock done at once between milkings. So we do so many at a time. Hoof trimming is VERY important to herd health."

A little bit about me

I'm from east central MN aprox 50 miles west of Minneapolis. i grew up on a small farm raising pigs, beef, sheep, and some poultry. My Grandpa from mom's side was a dairy farmer. I have wanted to farm since I could push my toy tractors accross the floor. I work for a Chevrolet Dealer as a Service Technician, used to work on a 450 cow dairy. I also do relief milking for a few farmers. I also have my own business. I am an independant Amsoil Dealer, selling synthectic lubercants. Amsoil is 100% ameican made in Superior Wisconsin. i graduated from South Central Technical College, North Mankato, with a dergree in Ag Mechanics. I like just about anything that has to do with the outdoors. I still help dad and grandpa with their farms, plus I also fix and do field for the farmers I milk for.

My favorite brands are Chevy, Deere, Cat, Claas, Peterbilt, Polaris, and Snap - On. I am an active member of the Central Minnesota Two-Cylinder Club. I have a 1948 John Deere A and 1953 John Deere 60 tractors.

I like meeting people and shooting the bull so got questions or just wanna chat drop me a line.

Love your pictures you got of the old A and the milking barn. We use to milk cows. One Grandpa had a double 4 parlor he built in the early 60's and other Grandpa had a 29 cow barn like yours. I got the '46 A that plan on doing a little farm work with. Can't wait.

the rock picker dose leave some rocks.we found that you pick then disck or feild cultivate and then pick again. the small rocks it only seams to put them in windrows. also i t dose not work well if there is alot of residue in the feild.
