"That is great to hear! What we offer as a company is a pre-paid program in the summer which locks in tile prices in the fall at a reduced rate AND guaranteed delivery within 24 hours. As far as the price increases go, it is unavoidable. Resin prices…"

"Tile is like anything else we do. You about have to lock in prices as they fluctuate like input prices do. I had some done last August but bought the tiLe in January due to a 3 cent per foot increase that was coming. Tile is by far my best…"

Tile Trailer (single axle)

Brand new trailer. Always have these on sale (buy the tile first, get the trailer cheaper).

"Yet, I have 40% or better of my customers on JDs pulling plows. What's their purpose behind not wanting JD to pull a plow? "

"Hey, Cody. Good to see another Kentuckian. Hey, I don't know enough about Eastern KY (except the fact that Morehead embarrassed Louisville last year in the tourney) and the farming out there. Do you know anyone who tiles? Contractors or farmers?"

"Is this all you have? I haven't heard anything at all about it. How does it compare to the Intellislope and/or radar? I will ask some customers and see what I find out for you too."

timewell plant

Plant office in Timewell, IL.
Feb 29, 2012

About Me...

I am a Product Specialist for Timewell Tile. We have two manufacturing plants for Agricultural Drainage Tile, one in Timewell, Illinois and the other in Providence, Kentucky. I represent the Kentucky market. My territory covers all of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Southern Indiana. Our company services nearly all of the midwest, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennesse, and parts of Alabama & Nebraska.

Professionally speaking, I believe yield monitors do not lie. Tiling is the single-most work you can do to your land that gives you the best return on money spent. Tile machine manufacturers have created plows that are nearly fool-proof in most situations that allow almost any farmer who can operate a tractor or dozer to tile on their own. I also believe that any ground can be tiled, and that even the driest of ground still yields plenty more if tiled.

Personally speaking, I live in Louisville, KY. I travel extensively to visit farmers and contractors across three states. I have an 8 year-old daughter and two big dogs that like to travel with me when given the chance. I love my job and I love our industry. There is nothing better than what we do.

I am on this site to offer feedback and suggestions on tiling and the product, as well as learn more about the everyday ins and outs of our community. I look forward to meeting some good folks!

If anyone has any tiling questions, I will be glad to help (to the best of my knowledge of course).
