As you can tell I dropped off the band wagon for a while! Things in Iowa got cold really fast but we've had some breaks in the rain this week to finish up our beans. Yields were right around the 65 bushel mark. A neighbor of ours took out some corn just last week and it was at 25% moisture. Now were just finishing up custom work with beans and then the waiting game for our corn to dry out. How are things in Kansas?

Well APH county avg is 26, but most guys did 30 or better (dryland), we only put 30lbs N on cuz of the outrageous prices last fall, we usually put down 20 lbs of P also with seed, but didn't do that either. Fall crops.... well milo looks great, whats left of our corn looks pretty fair. Dryland corn looks phenomenol, but last scout report put it at 75/75/80 soil profile. Sure could use a rain soon, not far from tasseling. Take care talk to ya later

Kyle, were you spoon-feeding your wheat or what? Our yields didn't come close to that, and we thought it was a pretty wheat year, just too damn dry most of the winter... . Wonder how the new combine worked out also. Take care

those two combines were fairly equal in the field but the 9660 is a bigger machine than the 2577, i wanted a 2588 to really compare it. the 2577 was wanting the grain cart more since it didnt have the hopper ext. the only time u could really see the power difference was in beans that stalks stayed green, the deere would go about 1.5 mph faster but again it was a bigger combine than the case

OHHH, darn! lol no jk jk, joining USCHI last week and making many friends in that organization already, I'm finding a place of respect for all my red friends lol. I'm planning on starting next week early, hopefully!! Then fly back to the panhandle and knock out nearly 5000 acres, then hopefully have time to make it up to Ness City for 1200 acres then fly over to Tribune lol. Still looking for Colorado jobs, I imagine that might start panning out soon I hope. 2388 is a good machine, don't tell anyone I said that tho lol. :) good luck out there, maybe we'll cross paths when I'm up in Ness, ttyl take care
