Best Ag App Smartphone.

I am looking at new phones, and it seems that smartphones are the way to go.... But I am currently deciding what OS has the better of ag applications either Droid or Iphone. See More

I grew up on our small family dairy farm just outside of the small town of Rogers City, MI, where we milked around 80 Holsteins, and worked around 350 acres, wich went into corn, hay, oats and pasture. My grandpa retired from milking via the CWT program back in '04. I went to another diary farm where we milked 350 head, and then I joined the army (none better)and currently still in the army. I am using the best of my time attempting to take in as much information as possible, before going to college, if I can make it to college.  We are currently in the transition phase, and we will be the head hanchos starting this summer.  For the next couple of years, our primary focus will be crops and beef and our primary goal is to start be milking by 2015. It seems like a long shot in the dark at times, but it can be done with the right mindset.

HI Jeremy! (Jiggers)! I looked at your page and it's nice. It's good to see another young dairy farmer! You want to get bigger! I don't know about that! Bigger dairy farms kind of hurt the littler dairys. Trust me, We have a lot a big ass dairy farms by me. I'm even a friend to one and he is raising land rent and prices to by land. He milks close to 3000 dairy cows. The cool thing about his big dairy farm is he is the biggest family ownd dairy farm in WI.

they dont sound familier but im sure they probably were. right now its him and his dad. they hire a few guys to help out in the spring and fall but for the most part, its just them workin around the clock to get it done.

yeah, i hope i can get up to at least 1200 acres, the more the better, but its going to take alot of work and time.....i actually just started working for another farmer and his son, and they own about 17,000 acres and his dad's getting to the point where he's going to start backing off a little so who knows, in a few years i might be able to work something out with him to buy land if/when he wants to sell it.

who do you know in the 2 year ag program at msu?
