"I do custom side dressing with a 28% bar. You can make your own pretty cheaply and you can cover alot of ground in one day with them. I have a 12 row bar, and 20 acres a hour for me isnt that uncommon. Whatever you decide to do, do something that…"

"I thought 110% but now the crops look better than I expected. I rolled the dice on the markets would collapse (which they did) and was going to buy cheap grain to fill my higher contracts. Now I'll fill it with mine."

For as much as I do enjoy the conventional vs organic discussions, a word of experience from me on this same site, it is not worth the battle. No matter what you say and the data you can prove or how often you tell them to respect our way of farming the activists will never listen because they have next to no real farming experience and because they read in a book they happened to run across that says chemicals are bad they will forever think that how we farm is wrong. Funny how they can blame everything on the farmer. If they are farmers at heart then they should know that our income, family, and lifestyle depend on our crops, our soils, and our water so why would we do something to harm it. So like I said, don't bother, its not worth the time or the stress cuz I know I used to get pretty worked up over these too. Now I just ignore it, they will never change.
