Thank a farmer?

Thank a farmer is a catch phrase being used in farming a lot these days. I question whether that is the motto we really want to push forward with into the public eye as many of us agree we need to do. We need to be asking the public for their trust! It is only with their trust that we will be able to continue our way of life now and into the future. I farm because I love it, can make money and have the oppurtunity to make a difference in the world by supplying affordable food. I do not farm so…See More

I am a 26 year old farmer from Central, In. We raise seed corn and seed soybeans on our grain farm. We also do custom farming and land management. I went to Purdue and graduated in 2005 with a degree of Agronomic Business and Marketing. I am actively involved in my local farm bureau board as vice-president. Maintaining the freedom to farm as I choose is very important.

Back to more office work and making sure things are ready to go when it dries up again. I am currently working on building a webpage for our local farm bureau not much else to do on a rainy April 30th. Just trying to find new ways to tell our stories as farmer's so that we don't get regulated out of business by folks who don't know our business.

rain delays everything

I have uploaded some new pictures to my facebook page and added a not very well done video on youtube. The video is not the quality I would like but I had trouble getting the audio to work. I hoped to get across in the video that farm machines can not fit through tight spaces on meeting it on the road can take extra precautions from us and the drivers we are meeting. On my facebook page I have added photo's of what we have been up to since it keeps raining and is preventing progress on our… Continue

Hey if Cameron doesn't buy all those radios I'm also looking to buy some 2 ways. I've got the same problem with my GPS, but I just need some 2 ways for my combines and cart. Are you asking $300 for all 10 or $300 a piece?

George: Hey, welcome to the Farmers for the Future Network. We'll be eager to learn more about your operation and ideas. Please give me a holler if you need any help with the system here. BTW, companies like Monsanto are using a lot of their ad dollars these days promoting their technology to the general public. -- John
