Planning For College

Posted on July 23, 2009 at 11:46pm 4 Comments

As a Sophomore I'm trying to plan out what I want to do for college. My family has been in the farming business for a long time. I have a Agriculture background in grain farming. I'm wanting to major in something that deals in Owning Your Own Farm.Like Ag Business. I was thinking about dairy farming. But I'm gonna stick with the Grain Operation. If you have any tips just send me a message! I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,
Nick Greenwood

I could go on and on about deere but yea i like there old stuff... we are pretty much all green except for my dad is buying a new case 8120 combine because of once again another problem with deere..lol and we take good care of our stuff two they don't get beat lol. and yea sometimes i think its to much farming lol

The crops are doing fairly well here. We've gotten a good amount of needed rain here in the last week, but we really need to get some warmer temperatures. Wheat harvest is going decent. One of my buddies was getting anywhere from 60 to 80 bushel/Acre, and one farmer that i work for was getting 101 bushel/Acre just the other day! How's everything in your area?
