Welcome to the network Dr Harding, but if you don't mind, I will call you Simon. No offense, you earned your title. I am curious of what your doctorate is in? I was to Vegas last year and found it a place I only want to visit? I would like to go back and see more of the city, but only for a day or two, too much concrete for me, and too much desert. I grew up on the prairie and can see for miles, and see the stars at night. NO bright city lights for me. I farm and ranch and love this network and the members... we can all really relate to each other. I look forward to visiting with you.

Only $140.00. That's OK should get more work out of this guy, he had lost my number. I don't know what kind of Doctor you are but one that makes money. If you owed your own concrete trucks and portable plants you would make even more $ when doing wind farms because, well you know better than me how much concrete goes into them. I would think you could have lots of use for these trucks and when the job is done sell them to the locals. That is if you like to have your hands into so many different things. You just need to have some good guys under you! That's the penny talking to the $100.00 bill

Yes I am keeping busy...going to school also. I'm proud that I'm getting an Animal Health Technician and Equine Science Specialist Certificate here in June. Although I'm proud of what I do, I'm not really making a living. I was laughing at the fact that I own 2 businesses and have no money and my ex is on SSI and is buying a home. I'm happy for him, but that's up side down! So you don't want to be my business partner, heck I can't even find a life partner...lol

Yes I still have the truck it is in my pic's here on this site. I was one of two owner/operators here in this desert about 13 years ago...when it got busy with the housing boom there were about 100 local owner/operators now maybe less than 20. I am nearly the only one doing my own thing (now) the guys are renting to larger companies....I think, since I haven't been called in a couple of months maybe they have quite by now. I am looking for another job but meanwhile if I don't keep this up I will not be able to eat. A few of the local trucks went Colorado and I hear there are some wind farms in Wyoming.

I wish you had some local wind farm jobs! I own a concrete truck and poured some wind farms in Tahachapi, Ca. a few years back and was able to buy a better truck with what I earned on that job!
