a Bit about me...
Raised in rural Northwest TN, I married young and had two children; Kris & Tabitha. Divorced after 17 years. I have a great respect for the farmers of this country of which I've served for over 22 years at USDA Farm Service Agency. The first 19 1/2 years were in my home county of Weakley. Then I met an absolutely wonderful man over 7 years ago and I'm so amazed he actually enjoys putting up with me! After years of driving I-40 across the state of Tennessee every weekend we finally decided to settle on his farm in East TN. I transferred to Knox County FSA in Jan of 2007 and have enjoyed every minute of living in the Smokey Mountains! I live in the country on a farm yet drive into the city of Knoxville each day to the office. I have the best of both worlds.
Kris lives in my house back home with my granddog, Raddler. He's still enjoying the life of a bachelor. Tabi lives in Murfreesboro with her husband, Brad and their two angels, Ryleigh (7) and Brycen (nearly 2). They are indeed the delight of my heart!
Bud has two sons, James and Mace. They are just as awesome as their dad. James and his wife Laura live next to us along with their daughter, Reagan. Reagan and Ryleigh are 3 mo apart in age and are "Best Fwiends". Mace and his wife Angie live in the next town with their two sons, Tanner (12) and Jackson (7). We delight in enjoying these little Mortons each and every day. They love to hang out in Paw Paw Bud's shop (and he loves it too.)
I love creating unique stuff especially for people special to me. www.sharidenise.com.
I love putting a pen to my thoughts and writing about things that are important to me. I'm excited about my recently published book, "Warm Hugs for Dark Nights" for details - www.warmhugsfordarknights.com.
I enjoy my new adventure in website design. www.dkiss.biz. "Keep It Simple Sweetie" Website designs. Siimple Websites that work for you while you work on something else.
I enjoy vintage cars and the process of restoring them. My fella is ALL into this and I love to witness his passion for these awesome machines. Of course, he now has his own website; www.polecat.biz. named after his father's nickname; Polecat.
I enjoy researching my genealogy and have a book started about the journey my forefathers took as they left their family farm in VA and moved into the Tennessee Country. I don't want my grandchildren to not know where they came from and how they got here.
I love the smiles of my grandchildren. They are indeed the dessert of life! Ryleigh- 7, & Brycen- nearly 2. Bud's grandchildren are the sunlight in our lives also; Tanner-12, Jackson-7, Reagan- 7. Jackson was born 3 mo before Ryleigh, and Reagan, 3 mo after Ryleigh. Ambushed by 7 year olds! We love it!
