Does anyone have experience with RUBBER over-the-wheel skidsteer tracks. What are the good and the bad?  I have heard that actual track machines are terrible in the snow, but not sure about these…Continue

We have a DMI 530 B ripper with the leveling disks behind it.  It sucked last year at smooting out the ground.  We want to be able to spray over it in the spring without having to work it first.  We…Continue

I want to buy a tanker for hauling water and chemical to the sprayer.  We are also using more solution and think a tanker would be good at sidedress time, so want to stay away from a flat bed.  Here…Continue

We had some ice go down the center of a bin today and plug up the well.   I don't know what it is called, but you can get a cage-like device to put over your center well so a chunk will either break…Continue

"Yes, we have one and like it very much.  Ours is a '12, so we have a lot of updates that fixed the problems they had, especially with seed bridging in the manifold.  The Early Riser unit is far and away a superior unit to the JD or…"

Feedlot software

I am looking for software for feedlot management.  ADG, feed conversion, as-fed by pens, being able to bill customers from software, use of RFID tags for individual animals, treatment logs, and carcass data would be features I am looking for.  And of course, affordable. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.  Thanks.See More

"Track loaders are not too bad in snow as long as you keep the tracks flat on the ground once the front of the track comes up off the ground you lose all your traction.  "

"I was worried about tracks in snow also but I went ahead and bought a Deere CT322.  It did fine in the snow this winter so I wouldn't worry too much.  I have never used the tracks that go over tires before."

I want to buy a tanker for hauling water and chemical to the sprayer.  We are also using more solution and think a tanker would be good at sidedress time, so want to stay away from a flat bed.  Here is my problem: How do I carry bulk chemical?  I don't think I want to put a platform out the back- extra weight, especially when your trying to get as much solution as possible.  I thought about tanks over the fenders, but not sure.  Ideally it would be something that could be changed out easily, in…See More
