It's all about the climb

When you’re at the bottom of the mountain, looking up at your goals and dreams, you know there’s only one way to go. But when you’re standing proudly on top, you can eitherfirmly stand your ground, or fall off. I refused to let myself fall, however it seems that God’s plan had other intentions. Maybe he wastrying to tell me “slow down my child, you’re moving too fast, it’s timeto see things in another prospective, but do not fear for I will bethere to catch you when you fall.”I know that he was…See More

The battle of the buldge...my battle with fair food

I spent most of my summer traveling around the state of Wisconsin promoting agriculture at county fairs in Jefferson, Dane, Waukesha, Ozaukee, county fairs as well as the Statefair. While memories wander throughout my day dreams, my nose andstomach are tempted by the smells of roasted sweet corn, turkey legs, cream puffs, cotton candy and pulled pork sandwiches. If you let me, Icould and would eat them all every day I am working. I love food andall types of it.One morning my dad gave me some…See More

For my club, my community, my country, and my world.

During the finals for the 2010 Dodge County Fairest of the Fair, I was asked to answer an impromptu question which was, how can we encourage more kids to stay active within their 4-H and FFA Clubs when it may not considered to be popular? As I stood there on stage I could not help but think, this is the perfect question for me! I feel that I embody the not always popular but dedicated 4-H’er.Growing up I was the typical 4-H farm kid who lived only a half a mile down the road from our county…See More

The Power of Agriculture

This year the theme for Pierce County’s 2010 Farm Technology Days was, “the power of agriculture” and no other theme could have been more fitting than this. I had the pleasure towork on the publicity and promotional committee from October of 2009 to spreadthe word as well as organize our media day prior to the event in July. What most people do not know is that thisthree day out door farm show which travels around the state each year takesthree years to plan. Numerous meetings,…See More

I love Agriculture

I'm seeking a double major in Ag. Business and International Relations. I grew up on a large scale corn, soybeans and wheat farm in South East Wisconsin. I lived in Europe for two and a half years and now I'm back to business of Agriculture.
