"Tyler, do you have the seed command for the Insight? We ran the Insight and seed command on our Kinze 1 year, and then traded the planter off the following year.  "

Chad Berger replied to Ben Pearson's discussion Finding Investors
"One thing to thinkabout. Investors are paying big money for land, then they are expecting at least a 4% ROI. With that you are going to be paying some pretty high cash rent."

Chad Berger replied to Scott Piggott's discussion HOw big of tractor is needed to run a 1790 split row planter?
"When we had our 1790 (13/32) we pulled it with an 8310 MFWD. We are on flat ground, and convential till on corn , and mostly no-till on the beans, and fully loaded, the planter was a load for the tractor. It was one of my best days to see that…"

Chad Berger replied to Grant Hildabrand's discussion corn/bean planter HELP!
"Kinze is hard to beat for a spilt row planter. They are well balanced, and compared to Deere & CIH split row planters, they have a low hp requirement. I have ran the Kinze's as well as a Deere 1790, and currently running a CIH 1240, and the…"

Chad: Thanks for the invite. I haven't logged on in a couple days. I was able to cut some beans after 2pm yesterday. The yields appear better than last year. My soil types are not the best, so 50+ bpa seems very good for me. More rain this morning. Looks like I am out of the field again.

I tried some corn at 35,000 in 30" row last year and had small spindly stalks (fom the jam packed row ) that had no late standability. Thanks for the advice!

Nice photos, Chad. Great to see some wheels turnin'. Don't think you'd kick up any dust here in central Iowa. Thank for sharing, and good luck rest of the way. -- John

Yes - our son loves Daddy's boots (hats, trucks, tractors - well I'm sure you understand) and he'll almost knock himself silly trying to drag those heavy things around on his little feet. If he didn't have blocks for feet (they are a bit wide) - I would buy him some boots of his own. I'm sure he'd still locate dads though!

Chad - are you involved at all with Farm Bureau ? If you are interested, go to www.indianayoungfarmers.org the site is very similar to this one, but focus's on Indiana. We are having our annual young farmers conference next weekend in Indy - we would love to have you there. If you are interested in going or have any questions, email me or go to the website. Thanks, JW (jandhwildermuth@yahoo.com) I'm pretty sure we can get you signed up for $free$ for the weekend.
