Well, Survived Christmas. Hope everyone had a happy and blessed holiday. Whoever decided that moving on Jan 2nd was a good idea was wrong. But, things are almost ready here. At least we found a nice place to stay and its not to far from the farm. I will be trying to keep up with at least a weekly post starting in the new year to let everyone follow along the path and see what I'm learning and doing. Until then, Happy New Year

First off, Happy Holidays everyone. Hope everyone is taking some time to enjoy family and other blessings in your life this season. We are trying to the best we can with all the craziness going on here. So since finding out that I am heading to the farm the day after Thanksgiving (blessings), and a week later having signed a lease for a place to live, things are moving really fast. So, it would appear I'm not very good at keeping up with blogs if there isn't anything going on lol. But, life just got a little bit more interesting. Just to bring ya'll up to speed on what's been going on over the course of time. School, family, work, school, family, rinse and repeat. While it has…

So, first off, thanks for checking out the Blog and the comments. Hope it wasn't miss leading. We are not actually starting a farm. I am starting in the fall back to college on to work on a diary science degree. Not 100 percent sure on what path I'm going to take, but my three major areas of interest right now are:
Genetics
Nutrition
And pasture based diary business models.
Not a lot of news to report right now. Just that classes will be starting the…

So, been on and off Farmers for the Future for awhile now. But, the plan is now in place, the details are getting worked out, and a career in agriculture is in the future! I've extremely excited. I'll try to update and write a "real" blog here as things go along. Hope people enjoy reading this.
So, a little about me. I'm 33 years old and live in Madison, WI. I am married to a wonderful and supportive wife with whom we have a great little boy. Now, if you have seen the very few…
