2nd cutting

I was wanting to what kind of results you were seeing with your second cutting of hay? I am getting about half the bales I normally get on my second cutting. I have one small field that is about 1.7 acres that I use as a benchmark for the rest of my fields and I can normally count on at least 100 bales off that field for second cutting, but this year when I baled it over the July 4th weekend, I only got 51 bales. Thanks, Brian

I appologize for taking so long to answer but I didnt see it till just now. I love the accumulator and grapple set up. Mine is the 8 bale but a 10 bale is also available. this accumulator doesn't like wheat stubble so we just mow and rake up windrows. It works great in hay fields. Use good twine as the cheap stuff sometimes wears in two dragging them on the ground. Acculator doesnt like ditches that are sharp edged but doesnt mind waterways that are sloped. I dont see why you couldnt use a skid loader but we havent used my grapple on the neighbors yet. the website is parrishagriturf.com. let me know if you need more info. I promise to answer quicker next time.

Thanks, none of it is new, but like you said, it gets the job done. The 300, 370 disk and the MF combine are mine, the rest belong to my dad and brother. This was my second season to have any crops on my own, perviously I always helped other family members.
