Just Who Am I?

I'm Benjamin Boyer. Born and raised in  south central Kansas.
Attended Hutchinson Community College for Farm and Ranch Management, And some Ag. Diesel. I can tell you one thing, school looks good on paper, but school cant teach you what your friends and neighbors can... They might not always be able to tell you what to do, but they most of the time can tell you what not to do... Making mistakes is just part of what its about, learn from them.

Boyer Cattle & Feed

Registered Black Angus Cattle And Hay
Company started in Buhler Kansas, in 2007 with just two teens at the time doing what they love and not letting anything get in their way. After the first winter my buddy realized that it wasn't what he wanted to do at the time, But I kept on, keepin on.

Since then I have branch out and bought commercial cattle, mainly buying bottle calves to keep the price down and slowly grow a bigger heard.

Future plans of getting more crop land to be able to grow more hay, to compensate for a bigger heard. Any left over hay we could sale for making a easier profit, than just relying on the cattle.

Hey its allright. I sure hope that things are going good down you way. Finally seeing some warmer weather. I am thinking about putting in some oats/field pea mix for hay this spring. Hopefully we will see some nice weather soon, we gotta get some wheat fertilized. Take care and write when you get time.

yeah i know the feeling. land is hard to get and it seems like you are always living outside of the budget lol 100,000 dollars isn't even that much anymore.

Hey, Benjamin! Good to have some Kansas blood on here! I'm originally from the northwest part of the state -- Hoxie, to be exact, about an hour west and north of Hays.

So how are things going down in your neck of the woods these days? Sounds like you all had quite a wet year down your way. The wet year continues up here in Des Moines -- already looks like the dead of winter around here -- had a good 3- to 4-inch snow yesterday. Guess Old Man Winter's starting early!

Anyway, welcome to our group here. Glad to have you on board. If you ever have any questions or suggestions, let me know!
