"Thats cool. I have Hamps and Durocs and most of the time i cross them. I'd like to get some yorks and cross them with my hamps and have a few blue butt litters, but i definately like the hamps the best."

"Yeah, as low as hog prices are, i think that selling them young for people to finish themselves, and finishing a few for local people is the only way to have a chance of making a profit, or at least breaking even. What breeds do you have?"

"How many pigs do you have? I have about 12 sows, mostly hamps and a few durocs. I don't finish too many, mostly sell them at 6-8 weeks and get $40 each. I also raise a few litters for show pigs for the county fairs"
