I was thinking about putting a yield moniter on my older gleaner. It would mainly be for harvesting test plots, Any recomendations? Can I even get a moniter that works on a 1979 combine? I would want a complete unit, moisture testing, GPS mapping. thanks for any help.

Yep, you should be able to, look at Loup or Ag leader, both have monitors for older models.

yeah i got something like your looking for priced for my 89 1660 combine, about 4200 dollars... i cant remember the name of the company but will look it up.

Call Ag Leader in Ames, IA.  They have a warehouse full of stuff, and likely have a low-cost console solution for you, as well.
