I know there was a similar discussion eariler this year but I thought I would revist it. Anyone got a story about a good F*&^up that we all have done. Like for example wrap the combine auger around a light pole.

ok I was shelling corn at night it started to rain I had 2 trucks loaded in the field. I unloaded the combine and shut it off. I took care of the trucks. Got back to the field to get the combine in the barn i turned it on turned the lights and took off but for some reason the light on the auger didn't come on so of coarse i forgot. Full speed down the road and bang wrapped it around a light pole broke the cylinder half busted the tube and bent the auger O YEA BAD NIGHT.

Also my dad didn't even yell at me cause he knew i was so pissed and figured since i was the one that had to fix it regarless who did it.

3 years ago we got a new Fast 80' pull behind sprayer. In the second season my brother unfolded the wings and hit a power line. He blew up the tires on the sprayer and all the tires on the tractor. He also fried the ravens control box for the sprayer. I was glad it was a 4650 and not a newer tractor with computer controled engines and trans. or we would of fried them also.

I was driving two full (650bu each) wagons up a hill when I remembered, "Oh, I need to downshift." Yeah, you don't downshift a tractor while driving up a hill. The entire tractor and two wagons rolled backwards down the hill until they jack-knifed. NOT COOL! We spent the entire day vacuuming out the wagons, getting the wagons moved...etc. The last 20 acres of beans that year had to wait a few more days. That night we had to drive 3 states to a family wedding.

Let a line of traffic pass by on a township road while moving a hay grabber on the front of a 4020. (Grabber pulls 15 squares off a NH bale wagon at a time)) Went to pull back on the road when a car doing 60mph clipped the front end of the grabber. How close a call... Put a scratch all the way down the passanger side window then obliterated the door post. Her son sitting in the passanger side was only 6-12" from being decapitated. All she could say to me was she was late for her sons golf lesson. PS Three weeks later the cops came into the shop an cited me.

Ha. Figures, there are lots of idiots driving around out there. Once I was driving the 4430 to the barn pulling a disk mower, which is always fun because I have to drive down a four lane highway on the edge of town surrounded by idiots. I pulled into the little side lane to make my left turn at the big four way intersection, and a van pulls up and swings around the mower and pulls up by the tractor, completely blocking me in. My light turns green and I can't move, people are honking and yelling at me and he's just sittin there jawing on his cell phone and doesn't even notice. I had to wait for his light to turn then for it to get back around to mine.

I've got one (luckily its not about me). I was driving one of the tractors pulling a trailer, and my boss was in front of me in the bale wagon. We were headed to one of our hay fields and he usually took the east exit from the barn but I had my bucket truck parked there for another hand to work on his rent house... I'm drifting because its a long story, anyways... he forgot about our overhead electric fence and took it down with the bale wagon. It broke the wire on both sides and knocked down the pvc pipe inside of metal pipe we had holding it up, bent it all out of shape. It was a big mess, but luckily didn't cost anything to fix.

In Darlington Wi, they have an unlimited farm tractor pull. Some clown enters his SP chopper and takes out the hydro. What did that cost to fix, 50,60 70000 dollars? Thats the best one i have hear for a while.
