After insurance has declared a corn field a complete loss what is the best thing to do with it? Mow it? Turbo till? Disc? or something else?

Leave it, notill beans in the spring.

Is there any possibility to salvage it for a feedlot as silage close by?

I think we are putting it to wheat this fall.  Not real good soybean country around here.

If the stalks are pretty degraded you could still probably get through them if you have a notill drill. If not, A turbo tiller will leave a lot of residue on top to deal with. Disc maybe?

We are going to cut aours with the combine.  3 bu to the acre will pay for the machine.  We will lay the stalks out and set them up for no till in the spring
