Farmers || Future

So, I was just shooting the breeze with a couple of guys in the office here and we got to chatting about a "Toughest farmer" competition, sort of like a reality show-type of deal.

So, what events would you include in a "Toughest Farmer" game? How many bales you can stack in a minute? How much manure you can shovel in a minute? Wrestling a steer? Let's hear those ideas!

Personally I did not like "Harvest" I watched a few episodes, but I felt it was scripted, and it was not a realistic deception of harvesting.

For example: A couple episodes I saw they literally acted like they were fighting mother nature (which they were) and at any second they could be swept away in a tornado.... they made way more drama then they needed. At one point the show depicted driving a combine to be extremely dangerous (which it can be) and that at any point the operator could go through the windshield and get ate up by the head.... Also, fights were constant and NO ONE could get a long it seemed... the fighting is what seemed scripted to me. However, I could be wrong.

I just thought that there was a bit too much drama and that made it unrealistic.

Sadly, I think drama is the only thing that will get something educational put on tv.

This is a good idea!

I agree, keep out the drama. I work with people in Columbus Ohio area who drive by crops and don't know what they are. I'm always getting questioned. I think a history channel show would be great, plus be informative.
