don't think I will watch it.........anyway........everything we eat come from China now anyway, and they are doing everything the safe way...right?
No one is forcing other people to eat GM foods. If you think that it is going to kill you don't eat it.
I wouldn't say just becuse it is organic means it is organic either. A local guy got busted here for selling non-organic potatoes as organic. He didn't have enough to fill his contract so he filled it with non-organic spuds. How often does that happen? I don't know but I bet a fair amont slips through without being noticed.
I'll take US conventional grown over organic any day of the week. The risk of salmonella with organic fresh veggies is high. GMO didn't start yesterday either, the ancient Egyptians and Aztec Indians kind of started started it. You know corn isn't a natural plant and without human intervention it would fade away back the the weeds that it was breed from in Mexico. Bacillus thuringiensis is harm less and the gene that GMO is using, instead of spraying it daily to keep the corn borer away just breed it into the plant. Roundup Ready is a gene that has been exposed to glyphosate until it's immuned to it. Red Root Pig Weed has done that all on it's own in the Southeastern US.
I live in a town of 800 people in western colorado and there are at least 6 organic/natural grocery stores within one hours drive. I would contend that most americans could live solely on organic if they chose to.
What if you do not drive? How can you eat clean food then? Personally I have to bike 25km there and then 25km back with a heavy load of groceries to the closest organic/natural food store to eat food i don't grow.

If people want to eat poison that's fine with me, may i suggest taking out the middle man and stop putting it on food.
your not eating posion. if it was posion the government wouldn't let us grow out. you may think it is posion but it feeds a lot of hunger people
yeah right, like the government is looking out for my best interest, that's a good one. that's why cigarettes are legal, right? so if someone sprays toxic chemicals in the form of say... i don't know... pesticide, something that is designed and marketed as poison (spray it and it kills) is put on food how am i not eating poison. perhaps i missed a step, but it sounds like you are eating poison to me.
How is a natural bacteria poison? You should know the facts and engage the brain before post something as dumb as what you just posted.

Please tell all of us here what poison's were eating in our food that comes from the US? I don't know what part of the world your in either but there isn't enough irrigation water in the dry arid desert to grow much more than is already there. So that mean crops have to grow east of the Rocky Mountains where it rains, warm and humid. This is perfect breeding conditions for every pest known that will eat the entire crop and county side to the ground including the leaves on the trees. So you have a choice, GMO, pesticides or starve.
If you are referring to Bt Corn, talk to the USDA. They classify Bt corn itself as a pesticide. There are several reported cases of allergic reaction to individuals living in areas where Bt is sprayed, and reports of where allergic reactions occur in bt Cotton pickers in India, and Indonesia. These and may other cases are described in detail in the international best selling book Genetic Roulette: Documented Health Effects of Genetically Engineered Foods by Jeffrey Smith.

Well for one all this RR Soy/ RR Canola etc. is sprayed with Round Up which is POISON. If you do not think herbicides and pesticides are poison, why not drink some and let us know how well that sits with you. Considering that there are no long term animal feeding studies to prove that GMO are safe. In fact the most comprehensive animal feeding study done to date is published in the medical journal Lancet proves that pre-cancerous cell growth occures in rats who ate GMO potato in their livers, kidneys, have shrunken brains, shrunken testicles, and a severely damaged immune system, most of the rats developed these health problems only 10 days after of eating the GMO potato. The former head of the UK/EU research team Dr. Arpad Pustazi is internationally recognized for doing this research, and is one of the primary reasons why Europe is more resistant to GMOs.

I am not surprised if you have not heard about this research as it ....

You propose a false choice here to choose between gmo, pesticide or starve. People lived in these areas far before the introduction of these chemicals and technologies. If more people grew more small scale diverse backyard gardens it dramatically reduces pest numbers as their food source is spread out, and with high amounts of bio-diversity with lots of colours and smells it helps confuse pests.
Here is the posting from a leftwinger that I''ve been looking for!!!!!!!!!!!

"They classify Bt corn itself as a pesticide" Then why is bacillus thuringiensis (BT) approved by the ORMI as an approved organic insecticide for organic farmers world wide? Here's a prime example of contradictory rulings.
As for the research I have heard about it. I don't pay much attention to anything from Europe or United Nation. That whole study has about as much merit to it as the study of cow farts by some environmental study group in S Florida. The result of that study suggested that farmers put diapers on their cows and properly dispose. This is a real study that was brought up at the South Florida Water Management district meeting in the 80's. Now Florida was either #1 or 2 with cattle population in the US at that time, there's a lot of dairy and cow calf operations. Could you imagine what the landfills would look like if somebody had listened to this with any sincerity? Today FL is # 4 with 15.9 million cattle and California is #1 with 33.8 million, CA has 3 times the land mass and twice as many cows.
