I have been checking around and it seems to be 55 dollars and up per sample is normal.  I had samples done about 5 years ago and I thought they were 20 dollars from a lab in Kentucky.  Anyone tell me where and how much they get theirs done???

depends on what kinda of sample you are getting. Just a normal NPK 6inch shouldnt run 55 dollars. K-state is around 12, Midwest labs in Omaha Nebraska is in that ball park too.

CPS comes out anf drive the fields with a atv takes the samples and run em through the lad for 18 a test

Brookside Labs (http://www.brooksidelabs.com) is located in NW Ohio and they will test for macro and micro nutrients for around $15.  They take samples from anywhere as long as you can mail them.  The only disadvantage is that they do not provide fertilizer recommendations, so you may need an agronomist to help you use the test results to calculate fertilizer rates.
