I am wondering if any one has hired some one to clear trees out of a pasture or CRP and what the going rate is. I am thinking about buying a skid steer but need to find some business to justive the purchase.

Read about a business like this in a farm mag. (cant think of its name)  where its all do-it yourself projects, ideas born in farm shops etc. etc....  Anyways.  I think the only fair way to both you and the clientele would be a set hourly rate.  Out here in no-mans land you might have 2-3 trees total to clear in a 1/4 of CRP  back in your neck of the woods it could be a thousand.  I'd still vote for an hourly rate or so much $ per tree removed?..  Good luck Kyle let us know.
Yes i was thinking so much and hour but i am not sure how much is fair. i know you can rent them for like 32 an hour so i would think atleast 50 but i am just wondering what others have paid out there and if there is any demand.
I have a guy starting tomorrow for me. $60/hr.
