Any one have any opinions on seed carts. We are only going to plant 500 acres next year. Im think a two pro box cart. Mostly so we dont have to lift bags over the side but also for the lower profile and small lot flexibility. Am I down the wrong road? Brand opinions?
thx

Permalink Reply by DelShane Kluge on February 14, 2013 at 10:19am i have been flirting with the idea of getting something to handle pro boxes as well. seems like pro boxes are the only way i can get the varities i like to use in corn these days, and with us looking at strip tilling our soybeans as well in certain areas, it would be nice to have something for loading boxes quicker. From what i have seen out there, the yetter systems seemed to me to be to most affordable options.
Permalink Reply by Kevin Myers on February 14, 2013 at 7:53pm We use a Speed King seed tender. We have used a two box tender and it works well. Jonathan Dansel on this site sells the Speed King's in our area. He might have better information on what guys like best about the different seed tenders.
Permalink Reply by Tim Ebelhar on February 16, 2013 at 7:10pm I have used a Speed King 4 box tender for 4 years. It is very well built but it is also heavy even when empty. I use it fill a 1770 NT 24 row.
I ended up buying a Strobel skid mount at the Farm Science Review. She is sitting on the flatbed now. There was one I like a little better that is made in MN but it was almost 20% more. $8200 for the 2box unit including the talc applicator delivered to the local dealer. I looked hard at the Yetter but didnt like the hopper under the box meant u had to almost empty it before starting. It was also very top heavy.
