I have often thought about Juvinelle deliquents being raised so different from what I was on a farm.  I was raised and worked on farrowing to finishing hogs since I was old enough to catch pigs.  When asked about a wage (growing up) my dad would reply to some extent that food on the table and roof over my head was plenty enough.  Now if we could somehow reverse the role on a deliquent to how they are raised like a lot of us were.  Recently we were taking out a mile of barb wire fence all by hand and concluded that that should be punishment for at risk kids.  I would be changing my ways if I had to do that for punishment.  But seriously, you can't teach kids work ethics if they cant work.

My father's interpretation of "Child Labor Laws" meant that children worked. No one legislated when he would have us and no one was going to legislate how he would raise us. He instilled a strong work ethic; was fanatical about integrity and ethics. Maybe my mom and dad need to be in Washington.

Another reason to get the government out of the farming industry and make the future youths more lazy and dependent on the government.
