New Labor Laws on Farms

Was reading this tonight, and i dont agree with it one bit, what do you guys think about this?

If we as young farmers let this law pass we have faild. If young kids arnt allowed to work on a farm they will pruse other lines of work and our nation will lose many if not all the new young faces in farming.  How can i help and voice my opion? and then how will they inforse a law like that is a cop going to pull my cousion over while hes raking hay.!?

What exactly is the government trying to accomplish here???  Farm kids are some of the better drivers/operators out there because they learn at a young age - not to mention the work ethic and responsibility that goes along with it. Ugh, I don't even know where to start! Anyone know where we can go to see if this passed or whatever?

That's just another rule to be broken.  Seriously how are they going to enforce that.  If you work in the family, you dont get paid or paid cash.  There are no diaries or log books saying what you did on this hour of this day.  It would be best if the government could focus on something important like using tax dollars wisely, for example.  Actually I'm surprised there isn't a clause in there about making kids join a union to work for a farmer  since they bend over backwards to the unions.

In my mind this is on the same page as requiring all tractor operators to have a CDL, truly pointless. Also pretty much impossible to enforce. The reason I see this being written is to try and prevent families from overworking young children.

I'm 15 and I already can drive just about anything you tell me to ( not neccisarily well) but I could do it and if my parents didn't own it and they passed this law I might 
as well just sit home, play video game, and get fat

What the hell... if this law passes... what incentive do I get in having my own kids... the only cool thing about kids someday is the  free labor for pete sakes!  j/k

Ridiculous!! I grew up working on a farm. It taught me life long work ethics.  Farm families should be left alone. 
It is a no brainer, that these people have no clue what it takes to operate a farm.

I just dont understand the benefit of this law. When do you ever hear of kids wrecking equipment on the roads...
