I don't believe so, unless they make adapters. The "blocks" on top of the feeder house were replaced with big L brackets... The frame is solid on the new heads, where as older heads have the cutouts for the blocks on the feeder house. I could be wrong though. More than likely would have to go with a 920F or something comparable.
Yes, a new head will go on any older machine. You have to have the adapter kit, there is a kit for feederhouse mounts, it consists of replacement ears that are the new style. It requires drilling and tapping the holes for new bigger flat head bolts to go in the old holes. Additional hardware might be needed (drum cover) (single point hydraulic/elec). You can put that all on any hundred, twenty or 9000 or 9010 series combine. I've got a 630R on my 9610, its entirely converted to run anything. You can still pick up old headers too.
adam,
I would rather pick every ear of corn, every soybean, or every piece of grain by hand then own a green machine. lol. and yes I could never buy a new combine right now. haha.

Who can?... most operations are leasing anymore.. Anyway, every brand has their perks/downfalls.. Deere just happens to be the best at parts and service in my neck of the woods.
I wish I could say the same. NJ has crap for parts now that there is more pavement then farmland. We have to go out to PA for everything. The Deere dealer, Pole Tavern, in south jersey is about as useful as tits on a bull. I had an old 36T baler that I needed bill hooks for. They "ordered" them. Three weeks later I called and they "did not know I wanted them to order them". WTF that pretty much ruined the green machines for me. The Case IH dealer is closer and provide amazing service.
