Hey I have seen alot of these feed grinder and mixers that are run with the pto of your your tractor, however are there any stationaly or portable grinder and mixers that are the same concept being compact, but with their own power unit? I.E diesel engine, or electric motors.
Permalink Reply by Scott Edward Dudek on weigh tronix does make electric mix mills that have seperate grinders but are usually double the cost of pto types check with your local distributor of chore time or gsi brands I think they also have electric grinders and mixers
Permalink Reply by Tony Eickman on check out Mix-Mill. I dont know if the company is still going but that is what ours is. It's a 3-phase 10 horse hammer mill and is stationary. It sits under 2ton bulk bin and augers to a 1-2 ton drop-style bulk bin. It's all homeade wood style bulk bins. The mix-mill itself takes up a 3 by 3 area. Nothing about it is portable except for the truck that backs under the unloading auger.
