Im looking at finally getting a pull type sprayer. Probably a 40' or 60' boom, 800 to 1000 gallon tank, nothing real fancy though i would like to get into shutting off boom sections. Also looking at a GPS system to go with it. Ive looked at trimble quite a bit, dont no much about greenstar. I have a 7110 case tractor that it would be equipped on.
Any advice on a setup would be appreciated, what to go with and what to stay away from

My sprayer and manure tanks came factory with ravens 660 brown boxes so when i updated to steering and product control i got a ravens e-pro controler. This saved me rewiring the sprayer i installed the steering valve and system my self first one took me about a day the second went alot faster i put them in jd 8400's. Iam running wass steering close enogh for manure and a 80' sprayer. the epro also can do yeild monitor and planter monitor with section shutoffs if you want it to.
Permalink Reply by Josh Burrows on December 21, 2011 at 6:56am I ran a Case Patriot this summer with a 90ft boom running on a raven epro. It runs autoboom, accuboom (your boom shutoff), rates, pressure, and speed. You can also run variable application with it if your ever interested. As far as spraying goes, boom shutoffs are critical to avoid over application when spraying sensitive pesticides. The Raven controller is the best I have seen, and I have never had a problem with it. Autosteer is also something to look at, it is pricey, but after I used it I will never go back. The accuracy of it and the ease of operation is just incredible.
