we are looking at adding a front pto for our hay mowing, big question is it worth it, any info on good manufactures, if they pay off or anything else will be greatly appreciated.

You need a lot of horsepower if you plan on running two mowers.  We had a tractor for a while that ran two mowers a 16 foot push and a 16 pull.. It didn't have enough power and prone to overheating.. Need some more specifics as to what you are looking for

To be honest i dont know what specifics to give you, i know we want Krone, one front mount and on rear mount.

I would think at least 160hp would be needed with lots of hydraulic power.. Sorry that is the all the help I can give.. What tractor would you be using and what does it have for horsepower and how many sets of hydraulics?

In theory those new holland tv-145 would work well for that and are very maneuverable. However, I hear only mediocre things about them and they are just silly expensive unless their purpose creates high revenues. I'm pretty sure agco makes tractors with front and rear pto and those are supposed to be Kick A&& but again probably expensive.
We used a tv140 for that work.. Pretty much the same as the tv145 for horsepower I would think.. We just found it didn't have enough especially if you had some hills.. We switched and just use a pull type 18 foot newholland haybine now.. Those tractors are pretty hard on fuel if you work them hard..

i'll take a look at those new holland tv145, thanks for the advice
