What problems do farmers face today with their farm machinery? What changes in equipment design/ease of use would you like to see? Anything from hay baler problems to sprayer malfuctions, I would like to hear your problems.

Permalink Reply by Jason on July 10, 2012 at 7:07pm I would add air seeder hose to that list as well.
Permalink Reply by Shaun Hamlin on July 10, 2012 at 11:42pm HAHA. AGREED. I could add quite a few things to this list, but for all of our blood pressure levels I will choose to leave it where it is.
Either Electrical systems that work more than most of the time, or simpler tractor designs for those of us who dont require digital numbers and sensors for everything

PTO shafts that are too heavy and bulky to get hooked up
Permalink Reply by Abram V on July 15, 2012 at 3:45pm I also don't like those pto shafts with the collar you have to pull back. The regular old push button type was a lot easier to hook up, and never got jammed with dirt.
I am glad someone hates them as much as I do. We had problems with the collars freezing in the winter too.
Permalink Reply by Abram V on July 16, 2012 at 5:17pm I've had to disassemble them entirely and clean them out. I never had a problem with the other style.
