Farmers || Future

Like thousands of other farmers this year, the drought has eliminated any possibility I had of making much money.  Since my soybeans have basically died out, I am thinking about letting the cattle graze what little bit is left, then planting a cover crop.  I aim on having corn there next year, so I was wondering if anyone on here had experience with tillage radishes or tillage turnips, as well as crimson red clover, vetch, or winter peas.  Where I am, there is a fragipan and a silt loam soil series.  I am thinking about using my White corn planter to plant a cover crop, so I also wondered if anyone had tried anything similar.

I wll plant rdishes and oats in a field to go to corn net year.  I will graze them tihis  winterafter they dry down some, Then be ready to plant corn into in the spring.  Of course it has to rain first before I even attempt that.  If that does ot happen by Sept 1 I will abandon that idea.
