great question. All i gotta say is, once you go laceless, you never go back.
yep i am going to get some new ones sometime this week and want to see what all of you have and like
Wolverine waterproof, insulated, steel toe boots are comfortable but i wear a pair out a year. Im trying some red wings out this year, so far so good. They do feel like im wearing some one elses boots after 5 months tho...
i love the Wolverines. thats all i wear. my buddy has red wings boots and they last he years and years. he had one par of boots that lasted him 3 years
Wolverine Multishock is my boot of choice for comfort in the Wellington style. Slip resistant, insoles are amazing, I can wear them on concrete all day standing at the shop work bench and feel great at the end of the day....Not a boot that is going to last you 3 years or anything like that, I'm terrible hard on boots for some reason. I used to think there was nothing better than a redwing (they are probably more durable) but after I bought my first pair of Multishocks it is hard to wear anything else. LIke Mike said...pull on or nothin!
i've had redwings and wolverines and i was never able to keep a pair for a year. i got a pair of Rocky steel toed, waterproof boots 2 years ago and they just might make it another year for me. they're by far the best boot i've had. most expensive, but they i think they were definately worth it.
georgia boot makes the farm/ ranch pair - pull on that i love. you can get em at tsc like 110 i think. dan post also makes a john deere combine 2 boot 6 inch wellington has to be one of the most comfortable pair i have ever worn
I were Red Wings pullons with the super sole. My current pair is 2 years old. I have a pair of the same boots in lace ups also and they are 4 years old. I work on Heavy euipment all day and the way I save the toes from wereing thru is the Red wing shoe store in DSM,IA puts rhino liner on the toes when I buy them this saves the toes. I have had Georgia,Deere,CAT,and a couple of other brands the Red Wings are the only ones I have gotten to last.
i have had my georgia pair starting on 5 years now. two days ago i was pulling out a rock on our field cultivator and slipped. my right foot slid down against a s tine and when i tried to catch myself the rubber sole caught on the shovel and the seam ripped around the bottom. its a 3 inch hole. thats the only problem i have had with them. i will definitely get another pair.
I'm gonna do that! I've been trying to figure out how to get more miles out of my boots as i wear the toes out before anything else...thanks for the idea!
I agree with that, I have a pair of Ariat's and i wouldn't trade them for anything.
Both of us have Ariat and love them!!!
