Best Ag App Smartphone.

I am looking at new phones, and it seems that smartphones are the way to go.... But I am currently deciding what OS has the better of ag applications either Droid or Iphone.

iOS - iPhone and iPad
You are going to see a lot of iPad apps emerge for in the cab functions.  A few are already out there.   Android will compete but the iPad has 62% of the market and google is still trying to figure out a tablet interface.

I was wondering the same thing. :) Though I'm probably going to go with a prepaid smartphone which most likely limits my choice of Apps greatly.

Good question, Jeremy. We're monitoring that issue here at Agriculture.com. Like Michael said, there are quite a few ag apps becoming available for iPad, but not all of those are available for iPhone. Some are. If you plan on using a smartphone only, I can't say one is better than another in terms of app availability. If you're interested in using a tablet down the road, the iPad is the way to go, like Michael said, and the iPhone would be a great smartphone counterpart. Some apps allow you to sync content between the two devices, and the operating system is the same, so you wouldn't have to get used to differing functions.

Ok thanks Justin.  for now it will be just a smartphone, something that is readily available, and easily accessible.  There are apps for both os's but it seems like iPhone has the edge.
